Duty to Report and Support with The Children’s Aid Society: Thursday, February 12, 2026

Tina Gatt, Manager of Community Outreach with the Windsor-Essex Children’s Aid Society, will discuss the issues impacting children, youth and families across communities in Ontario. She will address how perceptions, biases and cultural misinterpretations influence reporting to a Children’s Aid Society/Indigenous Child and Family Well-Being Agency. We will also examine the Child, Youth and Family Services Act (CYFSA) and Duty to Report obligations of persons who perform professional or official duties. Tina will explain how to make a referral and help us understand what happens when a Children’s Aid Society/Indigenous Child and Family Well-Being Agency receives a referral.
